Metals API pricing questions

Is there a free trial?

No trial is needed. The free tier never expires: 100 requests a day on every endpoint, no card required. Upgrade when your traffic grows.

How does yearly billing work?

Pay for 10 months and get 12: Starter $50, Pro $190 and Business $490 a year.

What does Enterprise include?

Unlimited requests, a direct support line, extra currencies on request, early access to new data such as platinum, palladium and historical prices, and a licence to redistribute the data. Contact sales for a quote.

What counts as a request?

Each API call counts as one request, whatever the endpoint. /v1/snapshot returns gold, silver and exchange rates in a single request.

When does my daily limit reset?

At midnight UTC. The X-RateLimit-Reset header tells you when.

What happens if I go over?

Further calls that day return HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header. Nothing is billed automatically.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time and keep the same key.
